About Stephanie Lindsey, LPC
| Sport Psychology & Business Coach | Dallas, TX
Meet Stephanie Lindsey, Dallas-based therapist, retired athlete, & founder of Own The Moment Club.
I Help Therapists Do Two Things:
1) Learn sport psychology so they can confidently work with athletes and high-performers
2) Build profitable, sustainable private practices without the overwhelm
My Background:
I'm a licensed professional counselor (LPC), retired competitive athlete, and sport psychology specialist based in Dallas, TX. I run The Therapy Lounge and Performance Center, where I work with athletes, executives, and high-performers navigating pressure, performance anxiety, injury, and identity transitions.
But here's the thing: I didn't just wake up knowing how to run a business or work with elite performers. I spent years figuring it out through trial, error, and a lot of expensive mistakes. I've opened 4 businesses from scratch, and along the way I learned what actually works…and what's just noise.
Why I Started Own The Moment Club:
I kept getting the same questions from other therapists and coaches:
"How do you work with athletes? My training didn't cover that."
"I want to start a private practice, but I don't know where to begin."
"Do I really need to get my CMPC to work with high-performers?"
So I created Own The Moment Club to teach what many people over the years taught me: practical sport psychology tools therapists can use immediately, and real business systems (not theory) that help you launch and grow without burning out.
What I Believe:
You don't need another degree to work with athletes. You need the right training and frameworks
Business coaching should give you actual templates and systems, not just "mindset" talk
High-performers deserve clinicians who understand performance, not just pathology
Running a practice should feel sustainable, not like you're constantly drowning
OTM’s Foundation
Own The Moment (OTM) has been in the making since 2007. My high school communications and debate teacher, Clint Vaught, taught us to speak with purpose, own our presence, and never start a sentence with “um.” His motto? “Own the moment.” These were his guiding principles for grabbing an audience’s attention, speaking with authority, and becoming confident in business and in life. He was truly a kind soul, may he rest in peace.
OTM is equipped with expert educational tools to help the helpers and business owners develop their businesses with strategies and clinical insight to ethically showcase themselves without needing costly certifications, licenses, or “Instagram Coaches” that don’t work or drain their time and money. Here at OTM, we know how to help.
