Stephanie Lindsey’s Inspiration for Helping Others Succeed

Own The Moment (OTM) has been in the making longer than I realized. My original inspiration started in 2007. My high school communications and debate teacher, Clint Vaught, taught us to speak with purpose, own our presence, and never start a sentence with “um.” His motto? “Own the moment.” These were his guiding principles for grabbing an audience’s attention, speaking with authority, and becoming confident in business and in life. He was truly a kind soul, may he rest in peace.

While developing my own clinical private practice, I learned how much I didn’t know about starting and running a business, and let met tell you…it was HUMBLING and scary. I am grateful for my board of directors who have been such guiding lights as I got started. Now the owner of three businesses, I have it all down pat and know it like the back of my hand.

So now, OTM is also equipped with expert educational tools to help the helpers and business owners develop their businesses with strategies and clinical insight to ethically showcase themselves without needing costly certifications, licenses, or “Instagram Coaches” that don’t work or drain their time and money. Here at OTM, we know how to help.

OTM’s mission is to bridge the gap between traditional training and the real-world needs of business owners and helpers. As an athlete who experienced a need for a sports therapist, and never finding one, it was my mission to be this bridge. Since 2017, I’ve done just that. I offer EMDR, sports therapy, and trauma informed care in my private practice, The Therapy Lounge & Performance Center in Dallas, TX.

My motto? “You don’t need another credential to be effective.” You just need the right guidance and niched skills to Own Your Moment so you and your clients can own theirs, too.
